ITINERARY
We will leave your accommodation walking towards the historic center of Cusco. Our first stop will be in the market of San Pedro, to learn about the local gastronomy and some of the customs and traditions of Cusco. Then we will continue our walk through the main streets and squares of Inca architecture, which will tell us stories of the Incas and the present.
We will make a stop at the Temple Of The Sun called “Qoricancha", which was the most important enclosure of all civilization and according to the first European chronicles, its walls were covered with gold plates. We can not miss one of the most traditional neighborhoods called San Blas, known as the “neighborhood of artisans,” famous for its colonial architecture, colorful streets with balconies, and family art galleries.
We will continue walking towards a Picantería, a place where people used to gather to chat, eat and have a chicha de jora (a drink made from fermented corn) that is very traditional in the Andes. We will finally walk to the viewpoint of San Cristobal, where is located the residence of the Inca founder of the capital of Cusco and from where we will have a panoramic view of the city.
