ITINERARY DAY 1

Departing from the city of Cusco at 5 am, we will have a 2-hour drive east to the Cusipata Community, where we will stop for breakfast. Once there, we continue by vehicle for another hour on a dirt road to the parking lot located at 4600 meters above sea level. Here we begin our one-hour hike to the mountain of Winincunca, known as the mountain of colors at 5100 meters above sea level. After enjoying the place, we start our descent through the red valley, to enjoy a wonderful landscape at more than 4500 meters. The hike will last around 6 hours, where our transportation will be waiting to take us to our lodging located 1 hour away by car in the district of Checacupe, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner, hot water, and a nice bed.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we will leave at 8 am toward Quehue community on a vehicle trip that will last 1 hour and a half. Once in Quehue, we will get ready to start walking to the Inca Bridge of Qeswachaca by an old trail next to the Apurimac Canyon. The walk ends with a wonderful surprise. There we will meet Wenseslao, our host and part of our team, who will be in charge of the experience of weaving worlds. We will have lunch at home and arrange the rest of the afternoon to rest and enjoy the place so peaceful and harmonious.
Dinner and overnight at Wenseslao's house.

DAY 3

This morning we have a nutritious breakfast prepared by Wenseslao and his family. After that, we will have an incredible experience that consists of learning the process of building the Qeswachaca Bridge scale model in which we will participate, from the selection and cutting of the q'oya (a plant used for weaving the bridge) to its elaboration step by step as its symbolism and importance in the Andean identity. This time we will continue by vehicle and pass by Tungasuca, the town where Tupac Amaru II was born, leader of the first Latin American rebellion at the end of the 19th century who fought and defended with his life the liberation of the indigenous people from the Spanish monarchy, founding the bases for the Independence of Peru as an independent republic. After our tour of this wonderful town, we return to Cusco. We will have a 3-hour drive.
