ITINERARY

We leave by car to the District of Ancahuasi in the Province of Anta. The trip will take about an hour and a half. Once there we will begin our day visiting Quillarumiyoc, a temple dedicated to the moon. After the visit, we will start our bicycle ride to Zurite on a dirt road. The route includes plains, some gentle ups and downs, and an incomparable landscape. It will take 1.5 hours to reach Zurite.

Once there, we will visit the Zurite platforms, which are more than a kilometer long. Currently, this place is used by the government as the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIA) and it is in this place where the bank with the largest variety of potato seeds in the world is located. We will continue our journey this time towards the district of Huarocondo, famous for the preparation of Lechón, a typical dish of the area prepared with pork cooked in the oven accompanied by tamales (boiled corn dough) and moraya which is the dried potato. At this point, our tour ends and we return to Cusco.
